Immokalee is home to one of the largest migrant communities in the United States. About 34.6% of families in Immokalee are below the poverty line.

ABOUT IMMOKALEE

  • Immokalee is in northern Collier County along Florida State Road 29 close to Naples, Florida. 
  • It is a heavily agricultural area
  • 76% of the population are Hispanics
  • About 34.6% of families and 39.8% of the population are below the poverty line
  • 46.1% of people below the poverty line are under 18 and 26.9% are age 65 or over
